Electricity token purchases and fuel delivery bookings involve actual transaction amounts (the cost of the token/fuel) processed through our payment partners — these are not fees charged by Steady.

No account is needed to browse products, use calculators, find cooking gas, or read articles. Most features are fully accessible without registration.

There are several ways to find what you're looking for:

• Search bar: Use the search at the top of any page (or press Ctrl+K / Cmd+K) to search by product name, brand, or category.
• Category strip: Click any category pill below the header (Solar, Generators, Batteries & Inverters, etc.) to browse all listings in that category.
• Vendors directory: Browse all vendors and filter by category, city, or product type.
• Brand pages: Navigate directly to brand pages (e.g., /brands/felicity-solar) to see all products from a specific manufacturer.

On any product or vendor listing page, click the "Chat on WhatsApp" button or the "View Vendor" link. This opens a WhatsApp conversation with the vendor directly.

When reaching out, we recommend stating:

• The specific product you're interested in (include the name/model)
• Your location, so the vendor can confirm delivery options
• Your timeline (e.g., urgent, or within 2 weeks)

Vendors are expected to respond within 24 hours on business days per our Vendor Policy.

Prices displayed on Steady are provided and updated by vendors. They represent the vendor's price at the time of the last update. While our Vendor Policy requires vendors to keep prices current, Nigeria's energy market can be volatile and prices may change before you contact the vendor.

Always confirm the final price directly with the vendor via WhatsApp before committing to a purchase. If a vendor significantly misrepresents their price (bait-and-switch), please report it — this is a policy violation.

Vendors displaying a "Verified" badge have passed our eligibility check, which includes:

• CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) registration verification
• Valid Nigerian business address or contact number
• Product category eligibility confirmation

Verification does not guarantee product quality or post-sale service — it confirms the business exists and is registered. Always check vendor reviews, ask for product invoices, and verify warranty terms before making large purchases.

For most product categories (solar, generators, batteries, engine oil, etc.), Steady is a marketplace that connects you to vendors — the transaction happens directly between you and the vendor, typically via WhatsApp, bank transfer, or the vendor's own payment method.

Steady does process direct transactions for:

• Electricity tokens — paid for and delivered entirely through Steady via our payment partner
• Fuel delivery bookings — booked and paid through the Steady platform

We support all 11 electricity distribution companies (DisCos) in Nigeria:

In almost all cases, tokens are delivered instantly — within seconds of successful payment confirmation. The token is displayed on your screen immediately and also sent to the phone number or email you provided during purchase.

Rare delays (up to 5 minutes) may occur during DisCo system outages or high-volume periods. If you have not received your token after 10 minutes, check your token history in your account dashboard or contact us with your payment reference.

Before payment, we display the customer name associated with the meter number for you to confirm. Please verify this name before proceeding — this is your protection against wrong meter entries.

If payment was completed with the wrong meter number, the token has already been credited to that meter and cannot be reversed by Steady. Contact your DisCo directly with your payment receipt — some DisCos may be able to assist, though this is not guaranteed.

If your payment was successful but no token was delivered:

• Wait up to 10 minutes — DisCo systems occasionally have brief delays.
• Check your token purchase history in your account — the token may be recorded there even if the SMS/email didn't arrive.
• Contact us via the contact form with your payment reference number. We will investigate and resolve within 24 hours.

If your payment failed (no charge on your account), you can simply retry the purchase.

Cooking gas prices on Steady are community-reported. Users who visit refill points can submit current prices through the locator interface. Our admin team reviews flagged reports and may also update prices based on market monitoring.

Each price entry shows the date and time it was last updated, so you can gauge its freshness. We recommend always calling ahead to confirm the current price before making a trip, especially during supply disruptions.

Yes — and we encourage it! Accurate data helps your community. On any gas station listing in the locator, click the "Report Price" or "Flag" button and provide the current correct price. You'll need to be logged in to submit a price report.

Flagged prices are reviewed by our team and corrected within 24 hours where confirmed.

Use our Submit a Location form to add a new gas station, solar installer, generator mechanic, or battery dealer to the map. Provide:

• Business name and address
• State and LGA
• Current price (if applicable)
• Contact number (optional)

Submissions are reviewed and approved by our team — typically within 48 hours.

Visit our Become a Vendor page and complete the application form. You'll need:

• Your CAC registration number or Business Name certificate
• A valid Nigerian business phone number (WhatsApp)
• A brief description of your products and business
• Your business address or service area

Applications are reviewed within 3–5 business days. See our full Vendor Policy for eligibility details.

Currently free. Approved vendors can list products at no charge. We may introduce premium plans or featured placement options in the future, and will give vendors 30 days' notice before any pricing changes.

Standard applications with complete and verifiable information are reviewed within 3–5 business days. Applications requiring additional documentation (e.g., unclear CAC details, multi-product categories) may take up to 7 business days.

You will receive an approval or rejection email at the address you registered with. If approved, you'll get instant access to your vendor dashboard to start adding listings.

Log in to your account and navigate to your Vendor Dashboard → Listings. From there you can:

• Edit product prices and descriptions
• Toggle listings between active and inactive
• Add new products or remove discontinued ones
• Update availability status

Price updates take effect immediately. Our Vendor Policy requires prices to be updated within 48 hours of a significant market price change.

You can request account deletion in two ways:

• From your dashboard: If you're a vendor, go to Dashboard → Settings → Deactivate Account.
• Via email: Send a deletion request to privacy@steady.ng with subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address.

Account data is deleted within 30 days of your request. Transaction records (electricity token purchases, delivery bookings) may be retained for up to 7 years for financial compliance purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full data retention details.

We use your data only to operate the Platform and improve your experience — account management, transaction processing, tool personalisation, and our weekly email newsletter (if you subscribe). We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
